The
Seasons of Vermont
Winter
Skiing, snowboarding, cross country, snowmobiling, sleigh rides -
Vermont has it all. Vermont's towns and villages were
practically built to look good in snow! Bromley
Mountain is just 15 minutes from the North Shire Motel, Stratton
only 25 minutes. Our rates are generally
lower during the Winter and we offer some great discounts on lift
tickets at Bromley and Stratton Mountains!

Spring
Spring is the month where nature slowly comes back to life.
It's a great time to go hiking, with cool temperatures and fantastic
views in wooded areas before the foliage comes back to the trees.
Sometimes called "foliage in reverse", as you watch the trees
develop their cool green colors and Vermont once again returns to
its beautiful green landscapes.
It's a good time to miss the crowds and enjoy a relaxing dinner at
one of our many great local restaurants. Don't
forget to visit Hildene or the Southern Vermont Arts Center!
Summer
Summer in Vermont is short and generally cooler than many places.
Although a short season, it is packed with events and many
activities for everyone. Take a dip in our pool or just
relax under one of our huge sugar maple trees. We're
ready to help you plan your stay in Vermont! Summer gets a
little busier, so book your room early!
Autumn
In September the anticipation of foliage season begins to build.
If you're not a "leaf peeper", then you might enjoy the lower rates
available during the first couple of weeks of September.
It's a relaxing time where everyone takes a deep breath to recover
from summer while they prepare for the grand show that nature is
about to produce. Fall foliage season in Vermont
is like nowhere else. Nature puts on an amazing show of
color that you will not soon forget. Rooms book up
as much as a year in advance for some dates, so you can never book
to soon! There is no place to enjoy fall foliage
in Vermont like the North Shire Motel, where you can see the
beautiful colors right outside your room through your huge sliding
glass door!

area.
